We have decided to hold a special autumn night visiting for the general public again this year. This marks the 970th anniversary of the establishment of the Phoenix Hall (Hou-ou-do), originally known as the Amida Hall, in the Heian period in 1053.
Continuing from last year, admission will be limited to 1,000 worshippers per day by advance reservation, and we hope that all worshippers will enjoy a special time in the spacious temple grounds. We sincerely ask for your understanding.
