Bukkyo Dendo Kyokai held the 12th Photo Contest of “The Heart of Buddha” last year under the auspices of the judges, Mr. Masanori Marubayashi, Mr. Yasushi Sugimata, Ms. Michiko Kaneko, and Mr. Shuuji Umemura. The 32 winning photos will be exhibited with sayings from Buddhist sutras or the founders of various Japanese Buddhist denominations.
Additionally, the photo collection featuring the selected works, “The Heart of Buddha” was published in March 2026.
On July 31st, 2026, at 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, a live calligraphy performance will be held at the exhibition venue. Mr. Mohri Suzuki, the calligrapher who created the calligraphy for the exhibition, will showcase his art. We look forward to your visit.
