During the cherry blossom viewing season from Friday, March 20 to Sunday, April 5, 2026, we anticipate considerable congestion, including on the surrounding roads.
We kindly request that you make use of public transportation for your visit.

Additionally, during this period, there will be the following changes to our visiting arrangements.

◆ Regarding the Issuance of Goshuin
On Saturdays and Sundays during the period (March 28th and 29th, April 4th and 5th), we kindly request that only the "Phoenix Hall" goshuin be issued. (Both direct inscription into stamp books and pre-written slips are available.)

* Please note that, depending on the level of congestion, the service may close before the scheduled reception end time of 4:45 p.m.

◆ Regarding the Suspension of Video Exhibits and Artifact Displays at the Museum Hoshokan
To alleviate congestion, the video exhibits will be suspended on Saturdays and Sundays during the period (March 28th and 29th, April 4th and 5th).

Additionally, the artifact corner (displaying the canopy reproduction, roof tiles, excavated artifacts, etc.) will be closed to the public from March 20th to April 5th.

Please kindly note that, as usual, it will be closed on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our visitors and greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
