Regarding the wisteria blossoms this year, flower buds have been developing steadily since early April. We currently anticipate the peak viewing period to be from Saturday, April 18th, to Sunday, April 26th—approximately one week earlier than in a typical year.
While we usually prune the flower clusters in early May, following the Golden Week holidays, we may need to perform this task before the holidays depending on the progression of the blooms. This measure is necessary to prevent potential stress to the trees.
We sincerely apologize to those who had planned to enjoy the wisteria during the Golden Week period. We kindly ask for your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize the long-term health and vitality of our trees.
Please check our blooming notification page for the latest updates on the status of the wisteria and the schedule for pruning.
